After successfully piloting a new store design in New-York and Seattle, T-Mobile U.S.A. will forge ahead with an exercise to makeover nearly 400 stores nationwide, the company announced today. Set for an October 5th unveiling, the first stores to officially sport the new look will be in Washington D.C. and Boston. The new design is based on T-Mobile’s popular European store concept which has been described as “Apple meets Richard Branson.” Personally, it’s great that T-Mobile wants to improve the customer experience. But we find it intriguing that T-Mobile is indulging itself in a costly makeover considering it’s pending merger with AT&T.
